NEELUM VALLEY (Kashmir English): The planned protest by the Traders’ Association of Bismillah Market, Sharda, has been postponed following a meeting between local business leaders and military officials regarding internet issues in Sharda.

President of the Sharda Bazaar Traders’ Association, Babar Lone, had earlier called for a protest against the poor internet service provided by the Special Communications Organisation (SCO).

The internet issues in Sharda was later cancelled when local elders and the Sharda Commanding Officer promised to enhance internet service after their meeting.

According to details, SCO has upgraded its system and successfully restored internet services in the region, which had been facing frequent disruptions.

In response, Babar Lone publicly thanked both the SCO and the Commanding Officer for taking prompt action and addressing the concerns of the people.

The organization stated that it is continuing its efforts to improve internet access across Neelum Valley, particularly in areas where difficult terrain and weather make connectivity a serious challenge.

Work is underway to install new poles and other critical infrastructure at various locations to provide residents with more stable and reliable service, resolving the internet issues in Sharda.

The installation of new poles combined with essential infrastructure at various sites actively progresses to deliver better internet services and stability throughout the area.

The inconsistent internet service created numerous internet issues in Sharda residents that obstructed communication functions along with business operations school work and information retrieval. Public frustration had created mounting pressure for authorities to take swift action.

Military officers and community representatives met together to reduce tensions then established joint cooperation pathways. The dialogue made it crystal clear that people must have immediate access to service providers to solve public matters directly.

The local population of Sharda acknowledges the swift actions taken by authorities as they anticipate further enhancements to internet connectivity within the next few weeks. This development represents a forward-thinking response that resolves digital connectivity problems affecting the distant regions of Azad Jammu and Kashmirs (AJK).
