LAHORE (Kashmir English): The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced separate squads for the men’s upcoming tour of the West Indies, which includes three T20 Internationals (T20Is) and three One-Day Internationals (ODIs) scheduled across the United States and the Caribbean.
Mohammad Rizwan retains captaincy of the ODI side, which features a 16-man lineup for games to be played on 8, 10 and 12 August at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy in Trinidad and Tobago.
Among the key inclusions is right-handed batter Hasan Nawaz, who receives his first call-up to the senior ODI squad.
Former captain Babar Azam and left-arm pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi return to the 50-over setup, further strengthening the side.
Pakistan’s tour will begin with a T20I series in the United States, with games scheduled for 31 July, 2, and 3 August at Central Broward Park and Broward County Stadium in Lauderhill, Florida.
Salman Ali Agha retains his position as T20I captain, while Shadab Khan remains unavailable as he recovers from shoulder surgery.
Haris Rauf, Hasan Ali and Afridi make up for the fast attack of the team, with selectors banking on experience to bounce back following the recent T20I series defeat in Bangladesh. The team is set to arrive in the United States today (Sunday, 27 July).
