CALIFORNIA (Kashmir English): The World’s latest AI technology, OpenAI is reportedly preparing to launch specialized AI “agents” with subscription costs ranging from $2,000 to $20,000 per month, according to the sources.

These will include a $2,000-a-month high-income knowledge worker agent; a $10,000 software developer agent; and a $20,000-a-month PhD-level research agent.

The pricing structure suggests that OpenAI seeks corporate clients and research institutions instead of individual users.

SoftBank, an OpenAI investor, has committed to spending $3 billion on these AI agent products in 2025 alone, which gives a strong sign of investors’ faith in this initiative.

According to the reports, OpenAI’s move toward premium AI subscriptions comes at a time when the company is facing significant financial losses, with a loss of $5 billion in 2024 due to high operational costs.

The introduction of expensive AI agents shows that OpenAI is preparing for the mainstream purchase of businesses and institutions looking for advanced automation and AI-driven insights.

Although OpenAI has neither confirmed the launch of its product line nor the customers who will qualify for it, these new AI agent products open a key revenue stream that could offset some of the costs of the company and its expansion in the AI market.
