ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): The Government of Pakistan has announced a strict new policy concerning illegal foreigners in Pakistan. According to the statement made by Federal Minister Talal Chaudhry, the decision has been officially communicated to all provinces for immediate enforcement.
Under the new guidelines, any Pakistani citizen who rents out a shop, house, or any kind of property to illegal foreigners in Pakistan will be held responsible by the authorities. This move is part of a broader national effort to ensure that all foreigners living or working in Pakistan are legally documented.
The government dictates that legal authorization stands as the only credential which enables someone to secure work opportunities or receive accommodations regardless of their nationality status. The requirement for legal status verification applies to every hotel stay and business contract and job application as well as rental properties.
“Pakistani citizens are only permitted to work with or deal with those who possess valid legal documents,” said Talal Chaudhry, reinforcing the government’s commitment to law and order. He emphasised that this policy applies equally across the board and must be respected in all provinces.
Businesses, landlords, and employers have been strongly urged to carry out proper identity checks and ensure that the individuals they are working with or hosting are legally authorised to be in the country, and not illegal foreigners in Pakistan. Failure to comply could lead to legal action under national security laws.
This decision supports Pakistan’s comprehensive initiatives to protect national security, preserve internal stability and enhance border surveillance capabilities.
The authorities predict that implementing these rules will decrease illegal acts and safeguard both citizens and national authority while protecting national boundaries.
The Pakistan administration maintains a strong position against national security threats while working to confirm the legal status of everyone living on its national territory. People need to collaborate fully with the authorities while reporting all detected violations to them.
