NEW YORK (Kashmir English): Netflix, the leading streaming platform, has now made it possible for its users to play games on their smart TVs.

According to a statement issued by the company, these games will be available free of charge for Netflix subscribers, and they have been introduced to create a social and entertainment experience for users.

This is the first time that games on Netflix will be available directly on TV.

Previously, users could only access games through smartphones or tablets. Now, users will be able to play games on their smart TV or other devices connected to the Netflix app (such as the Amazon Fire TV Stick), while smartphones will be used as controllers.

To play games on TV, users will have to select their favorite game from the Games section on the Netflix home screen.

After this, a QR code will appear on the screen, which can be scanned, and the smartphone can be connected as a controller.

Interestingly, it is not necessary to be logged into Netflix on the phone to play games.

Netflix initially introduced four games, including Boggle Party, Pictionary: Game Night, Tetris Time Warp and Lego Party.

These games are specifically designed to be played in groups so that users can enjoy the experience of watching movies and gaming at the same time.

In the initial phase, this feature will be limited to users and a few countries, including the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Spain, Mexico, France, Italy, Poland, the Netherlands, Sweden, Belgium, Switzerland, Austria, Ireland, Finland, Germany, South Africa, Australia, and New Zealand.

Netflix leadership believes that the gaming industry, especially in the field of mobile games, is very competitive.

Therefore, the company has adopted a strategy to promote social gaming experiences on TV. Netflix Co-CEO Greg Peters said in a statement to Bloomberg that “We are focusing on gaming experiences that are social in nature and can be presented on TV
