BAGH (Kashmir English): Major Saad bin Zubair, a resident of Azad Kashmir, embraced martyrdom while fighting gallantly in the line of duty, his relative and former AJK Prime Minister Sardar Tanveer Ilyas confirmed.
In a post on Facebook, the former premier shared the demise of his brother-in-law’s son, stating that Maj Saad was currently serving in FC Balochistan and was newly married.
The martyr officer, hailing from Bani Pasari village of Bagh district, was the Grand Son of Sardar Capt Ali Afser Khan, a prominent police officer and first ASP officer of Azad Kashmir.
“He was an exceptional officer, an outstanding leader, and a true patriot who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty,” Tanveer Ilyas wrote. “His sacrifice in the line of duty is a profound loss for the nation, reflecting his exceptional courage, dedication, and commitment to his responsibilities.”
As we bid farewell to our dear son, the prominent businessman wrote, we take comfort in the knowledge that his sacrifice will never be forgotten.
“His memory will live on in our hearts, and his legacy will continue to inspire us to serve with honour, courage, and commitment,” he stated.
