LAHORE (Kashmir English): Lahore Qalandars unveiled their official team jersey for PSL season 10 at Qalandars Night through a bright celebration that took place at Greater Iqbal Park in Lahore.
The upcoming season brought a vibrant change in kit design, featuring traditional Qalandar colors. The team launched its new PSL 10 kits at Qalandars Night through a ceremony which featured essential players Asif Ali along with Fakhar Zaman and Sikandar Raza and team leader Shaheen Shah Afridi. The new home and away kits were publicly presented to display the team’s modern style which should help them secure PSL victory.
The cricket event served as more than a traditional match because it honored the deep relationship between Qalandars and their supporter base. A massive crowd consisting of thousands of supporters filled the park with their green and red gear until the event venue became one big ocean of colors. At the event, renowned Pakistani artists delivered their musical performances while keeping the audience energized through the combination of cricket and entertainment, which has made Lahore famous.
A highlight of the event consisted of fans from the crowd participating in the birthday celebration for Shaheen Shah Afridi. The star pacer received a cake-cutting celebration from fans which deeply touched the player due to the abundant love shown by spectators.
Speaking at the event, Shaheen expressed heartfelt gratitude to the fans. “It’s overwhelming to see so many people come out tonight. The energy, the support, it all means so much to us,” he said. He also encouraged cricket lovers to head to the stadiums in the coming weeks. “PSL is almost here. We want to see you in the stands, cheering us on. Your presence lifts us.”
The 10th edition of the PSL kicks off on April 11, with defending champions Islamabad United taking on Lahore Qalandars at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. Between April 11 and May 18 the competition will feature 34 matches where Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore will host 13 fixtures which allow the Qalandars to capitalize on the enthusiasm of their dedicated supporters.
The Lahore Qalandars are ready to bring energetic performances through their fresh kit and revitalized spirit and growing fan base during PSL X.
