RAWALPINDI (Kashmir English): Raja Muhammad Siddique, Minister for Industries and Commerce in the Azad Government of Jammu and Kashmir, has said that the issue of Kashmir has gained new momentum due to the recent Pakistan-India war. He added that the global community is once again acknowledging the Kashmir dispute, which he called a major success.

Raja Muhammad Siddique strongly criticized those who try to divide Kashmiris by politicizing the refugee seats in Pakistan, stating that such conspiracies will not succeed. He emphasized that these seats were given due to the Kashmir conflict so that, when the issue is resolved according to UN resolutions, all refugees living in Pakistan can vote—a right earned through the sacrifices of their ancestors.

He said that the identity of the fourth generation of refugees in Pakistan has been preserved because of these seats. The hardships endured by the elders during migration are part of history, and those sacrifices must not be forgotten.

Raja Muhammad Siddique further stated that while past governments had neglected the Kashmir issue, the current administration—under the leadership of Field Marshal General Asim Munir—and the Pakistan Army have reignited the cause by delivering a clear defeat to India. However, he warned that certain miscreants are now trying to create chaos in Azad Kashmir, aiming to divide Kashmiris and stir up hatred.

Raja Muhammad Siddique stressed that the state cannot afford instability. All political parties must unite against such elements. He praised national institutions for taking a firm stand on the Kashmir issue and commended the Pakistan Army for regularly sacrificing lives to protect the country.

Raja Muhammad Siddique called for all political forces to join hands and counter these conspiracies, promoting a strong and united stance on the Kashmir cause globally. He added that oppressed Kashmiris have made every sacrifice for the completion of Pakistan.

Referring to the violence in Gaza and Palestine, he expressed regret over the silence of the Muslim world. “The time has come to unite and fight against oppression. God willing, the day is not far when Kashmir will be free and become a part of Pakistan,” he declared.

He concluded by saying that the people and the army of Pakistan have always stood by Kashmiris, and in the upcoming elections, PML-N will win with a large majority and usher in a new era of development in the region.
