ISLAMABAD: Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) has released a new song, “Kashmir Banay Ga Pakistan,” on the occasion of Kashmir Solidarity Day, being observed tomorrow (Wednesday).

The Day is observed annually on February 5 to express solidarity and support for the people of Indian-Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).

The song features the vocals of renowned singer Ahmed Jahanzeb while the music has been composed by Irfan Saleem and Kamran Khan. The lyrics, written by Imran Raza, convey a strong message of unity and commitment to the Kashmiri cause.

The song has been specifically produced to mark the significant day, and reinforces the sentiment of solidarity with the brave and resilient people of the occupied Kashmir.

It opens with a historic speech by late Hurriyat leader Syed Ali Geelani, in which he declared, “Islamically, Pakistan is ours, and we are Pakistan.” He also led the crowd in chanting slogans for self-determination and freedom.

Support for Kashmir cause

The anthem serves as a reminder of Pakistan’s unwavering support for Kashmiris’ struggle for self-determination and highlights the nation’s commitment to standing by the people of the territory.

Meanwhile, Pakistan, Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), and the Pakistani and Kashmiri diaspora are gearing up to observe the Day on February 5 to express steadfast support for the oppressed people of IIOJK.

Political parties, activists, and general public in Pakistan and AJK will be organizing rallies, and peace walks to highlight the Kashmir issue pending before the UN since decades.

Special prayers will be offered across the country for the martyrs of Kashmir. It is to mention here that India has been denying Kashmiris the right to self-determination, recognized by the United Nations.

The government has announced a public holiday across the country for February 5, ensuring peoples widespread participation in the activities planned for the day.
