MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): In a recent development, the President of United States of America Donald Trump has announced that Pakistan and India have agreed to full and immediate ceasefire.
Donald Trump made the announced on social media platform X formally known as Twitter, In his tweet US President stated,
‘After a long night of talks mediated by the United States, I am pleased to announce that India and Pakistan have agreed to a FULL AND IMMEDIATE CEASEFIRE. Congratulations to both Countries on using Common Sense and Great Intelligence. Thank you for your attention to this matter!’
Additionally, the Pakistan Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has also confirmed the ceasefire between Pakistan and India.
In his post on X, Dar stated that Pakistan and India have agreed to a ceasefire with immediate effect. Pakistan has always strived for peace and security in the region, without compromising on its sovereignty and territorial integrity!
This ceasefire is being seen as a major success of Pakistan. The ceasefire agreement is expected to bring relief to civilians in the affected regions, particularly in Azad Jammu and Kashmir, where shelling had resulted in casualties and damage to property.
