ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): The Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) has announced the start of its application process for domestic gas connections weeks after the government lifted the four-year ban.
Earlier, the Federal Minister for Petroleum, Ali Pervaiz Malik, stated that the government will provide regasified liquefied natural gas (RLNG)-based gas connections instead of local gas.
The Sui Northern Gas Company has said that the new gas meters will be installed on a “first-come, first-served basis”.
It added that the Distribution Department will lay the pipe (service line if required) up to your place of connection. “The Distribution Department will install the meter and commission the gas supply at your premises.”
How to apply
The residents can download the application forms from the SNGPL website. The form can also be obtained from the regional office, sub-office, or customer services center of the company.
After obtaining the prescribed application form, fill it out and submit it to your regional office, sub-office, or customer services center nearest to your home, along with the mandatory attested documents.
- A copy of CNIC
- Proof of the title of property to ascertain the size of the plot (e.g., registry or some other legal document)
- Gas bill of the neighbor nearest to your home
- Get a proper receipt in acknowledgement of your application. This receipt will be used for any subsequent reference or query regarding your application.
The company has also announced that applications from customers with previously submitted demand notices will be processed on a priority basis.
A separate online link has been created for these customers to streamline their application process.
Proposal Letter / Demand Notice
A Proposal letter / Demand Notice will be issued along with the House Line plan and a list of the Company’s registered house line installation contractors in your region.
Security and service line charges will be calculated as detailed below:
