KARACHI (Kashmir English): Former Australian opener, David Warner has been named as skipper of the Karachi Kings for the upcoming Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 10.
Warner, a World Cup winner in both T20 and ODI formats, is recognized as one of the most hammering T20 openers. Over the past decade, the former Australian opener has led several major sides, including the Big Bash League (BBL) franchises.
Warner also commented on the Karachi Kings post on their social media handle saying, “Looking forward to seeing everyone.”
Karachi Kings picked the former Australian batter as their first choice in the Platinum category during the PSL X Players Draft, held on January 13, 2025, at Lahore’s historic Hazoori Bagh.
The management of Karachi Kings also extended their gratitude to Shan Masood, the last season’s captain, for his leadership and contributions in guiding the side.
Masood’s tenure in PSL 9 helped establish a strong blend of young and experienced players, earning praise for his tactical intelligence and professionalism.

The much-anticipated HBL PSL 10th edition will start on April 11, 2025 (Friday), with defending champions Islamabad United clashing two-time winners Lahore Qalandars at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.
Karachi Kings will play their opening game against Multan Sultans at National Bank Stadium in Karachi on April 12 (Saturday).
