MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): The AJK Legislative Assembly has announced a paid internship program for young graduates across Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
The initiative aims to help students gain real-world experience in parliamentary affairs and understand democratic values more deeply.
Internship Details and Stipend
The AJK Legislative Assembly is offering 53 internship positions under this program. The duration of the internship is six months, and each selected candidate will receive a monthly stipend of PKR 40,000.
This opportunity is open to both fresh graduates and students currently enrolled in the 8th semester of a BS program. The program is designed to give participants a hands-on look at how parliamentary systems operate in AJK.
The internship will be based entirely in Muzaffarabad and can be terminated at any time without prior notice. Individuals who have already completed this internship are not eligible to apply again.
Eligibility Criteria
To apply, candidates must:

Have at least 14 years of education from a HEC-recognized university.

Hold a minimum of 60% marks or a 2.5 CGPA.

Be 30 years old or younger.

Be a state subject of Azad Kashmir or a refugee from Indian-occupied Jammu and Kashmir currently residing in Pakistan.
Applicants who have already completed this internship in the past are not eligible to apply again.
Interview Dates and Location
Walk-in interviews will be conducted on August 12 and 13, 2025, starting at 10:00 AM. The venue for the interviews is the State Guest House (MLA Hostel) near the New Prime Minister’s House in Jalalabad, Muzaffarabad.
