ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): A high-level meeting was held under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary AJK Khushal Khan to review the implementation status of the agreement reached with the Joint Awami Action Committee (JAAC) on Thursday.
Earlier, on October 4, the federal government signed an agreement with the JAAC to end the protest and ease unrest in Azad Kashmir over the past few days.
After two rounds of talks, the stakeholders finally sealed an agreement, accepting several demands of the protestors.
During the meeting today, concerned secretaries presented progress reports on various commitments made under the agreement, according to the official statement.
The meeting discussed in detail the steps taken by respective departments to ensure timely compliance.
In the meeting, the summaries and official letters were forwarded to the relevant and authorized forums to facilitate implementation in accordance with the agreed terms.
Chief Secretary Khushal Khan emphasized the importance of honoring all commitments made with the committee to maintain public trust and administrative transparency.
