MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): In a gruesome incident, a brother has allegedly killed his sister for honour by slitting her throat with a knife in Sangri Mera area of Muzaffarabad.
As per details, the victim’s husband divorced her just a day before the incident, leading to a bitter argument between the victim and her family members. The argument resulted in the killing of the victim.
On receiving information, Rescue 1122 immediately reached the spot and shifted the body to the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) Muzaffarabad for post-mortem. Meanwhile, the local police also reached and arrested the accused brother at the spot.
The police have taken the accused into custody and have started investigating the matter.
