MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): According to the Meteorological Department Pakistan weather alert, the powerful westerly weather system will bombard upper regions with heavy rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms and strong gales along with snow accumulation.
From the evening of February 24 through March 1, the Meteorological Department estimates heavy rains and thunderstorms alongside powerful winds and snow will affect mountainous regions in Pakistan. This natural disposition will disrupt authorities until authorities maintain persistent readiness from February 25 to March 1.
On February 25 the upper parts of Pakistan will experience a powerful westerly weather system based on the Meteorological Department forecast. The areas of Gilgit-Baltistan together with Neelum Valley, Muzaffarabad, Rawalakot, Bagh, Haveli, Skardu, Astore, Hunza and other high-altitude locations will receive heavy snowfall. The heavy snowfall in certain areas will block roads and cause extensive travel problems.
