RIYADH (Kashmir English): Pakistan’s culinary brilliance was showcased at Riyadh Food Festival as renowned Pakistani restaurants — Lahore Village, Zouq Nihari and Tikka Masala — offered a taste of the country’s diverse cooking landscape.
Pakistan’s Embassy in Riyadh participated in the Riyadh Food Festival 2025. The event was organised under the auspices of the Culinary Commission of the Ministry of Culture, Saudi Arabia.
The event brought together diverse gastronomic traditions and cultural experiences from around the globe, with Pakistan making a significant impact through its rich flavours and vibrant artistic heritage.
The country’s presence at the festival was marked by the participation of three renowned Pakistani restaurants, according to a press release issued by the Embassy.
Visitors had the opportunity to enjoy traditional delicacies and an array of delectable Pakistani street food. All the three stalls received an enthusiastic response from food-lovers.
Pavilion at food festival
Beyond cuisine, Pakistan’s pavilion at the food festival also featured two retail kiosks showcasing the country’s culinary and artistic talent.
Mehran Foods, a prominent name in the country’s spices, set up a vast display of its premium spice range, offering visitors a chance to experience the bold and aromatic flavours that define Pakistani cooking.
To add to the artistic colours, Tribal Truck Art set up a special kiosk dedicated to Pakistan’s iconic truck art which is a globally recognized folk art form.
The exhibit also featured designed truck art wares such as hand-painted decorative pieces, household items, and souvenirs.
A live painting demonstration by the skilled Pakistani truck artists further captivated audiences, allowing visitors to witness the meticulous craftsmanship and cultural storytelling embedded in this unique art form.
Speaking about the country’s participation, Pakistan’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia commended the organisers of the Food Festival for providing a platform to display global culinary and artistic traditions.
The country’s rich and diverse cultural heritage was on full display at the Food Festival, highlighting Pakistan’s deep-rooted culinary expertise and artistic creativity.
The event also provided an excellent opportunity to Pakistan to strengthen cultural ties with Kingdom while promoting its vibrant food industry and artistic heritage to a wider audience.
