COLOMBO (Kashmir English): Australia’s women’s team defeated Pakistan by 107 runs in the ICC Women’s World Cup 2025, the third consecutive defeat for the Green Shirts in the event.
In response to the target of 222 runs set by the Australian Women’s team, the Pakistan Women’s team was bundled out for 114 runs.
In the match played in Colombo, the Pakistan Women’s team won the toss and invited Australia to bat.

The Pakistani bowlers gave a brilliant start, taking 7 Australian wickets for just 76 runs, but after that, Beth Mooney scored a brilliant century, while Alana King played an innings of 51 runs.
The two made a partnership of 106 runs for the ninth wicket. Thus, Australia scored 221 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in the stipulated 50 overs.
From Pakistan, Nashra Sindhu took 3 wickets, Fatima Sana and Rameen Shamim took 2 wickets each.

Chasing a target of 222 runs, Pakistan’s batting line-up once again faltered. The first wicket of the national team fell for 8 runs, and then half the team returned to the pavilion for 31 runs, while the entire team was dismissed for 114 runs in the 37th over.
Sidra Amin scored 35 runs for Pakistan, while Kim Garth took 3 wickets for the Kangaroos.
Thus, Australia won the match by 107 runs. This is the third consecutive defeat for the Pakistan Women’s team in the ICC World Cup 2025.
