ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): The Government of Pakistan has launched the PM Laptop Scheme 2025 for college and university students across Pakistan.
According to the authorities, this scheme is specifically designed for needy families who cannot afford to purchase laptops.
According to the government statement, this scheme aims to provide students with the facility of online classes, freelancing, and research.
Many students who submit applications under the scheme are unaware of whether their application has been approved or rejected.
To ease this problem, the government has introduced an online verification system, through which the status of the application can be found in a few clicks.
How to check the status of the PM Laptop Scheme 2025
- Go to the official website of the PM Youth Program.
- Enter your National Identity Card (CNIC) number.
- Select your university or college.
The system will immediately show the status of your application, whether it is approved, under review or rejected.
Required documents for application:
- Valid CNIC number or NADRA-verified Bay Form
- University student ID card or proof of enrolment
- Latest academic transcript
- Updated personal information in the university database
Even if a student’s application is approved, there is a possibility of a delay in getting the laptop.
According to officials, the major reasons for delay include providing incorrect information, such as an incorrect CNIC number, an inactive mobile number or email, not updating academic records, or submitting multiple applications using the same CNIC number.
If a student’s name is not included in the list, they can contact the focal person at their university or lodge a complaint through the PM Youth Programme helpline.
