JHELUM VALLEY (Kashmir English): A tourist vehicle going for a trip to Ganga Choti met with an accident near Fish Farm Chakkar, resulting in one death and 21 injuries.
According to rescue sources, the person who died in the accident is said to be from Rawalpindi. The injured were immediately shifted to nearby medical centres where they were provided with initial medical aid.
14 people injured in the accident were shifted to District Headquarters Hospital Hattian Bala, while four seriously injured people have been referred to Rawalpindi for further treatment.
Local administration, rescue and police personnel reached the spot and completed relief operations. Investigations are underway to determine the causes of the accident.
Hattian Bala accident
In September last year, a tragic accident claimed one life within the limits of Police Station City Hattian Bala.
Four people also sustained injuries in the incident that occurred within the limits of Police Station City Hattian Bala.
According to reports, a Jeep driven by Fazil son of Afzal Khan, Abbasi by caste, resident of Langla, met with an accident at Terheri Langla while going from Hattian Bala to Terheri.
